Do you know what real friendship and real beaity are?? MR 1-01

I will talk about the movie I watched on Monday, “Shrek”! I thought a lot of things after I watched it.

At first, I will explain about main characters that appeared in it. There were Shrek, Donkey, Princess Fiona, Dragon, Prince Foarkward. Shrek was a monster. Donkey was funny and talkative donkey. Princess Fiona was closed by the scary Dragon. Prince Foarkward tried to become a king by getting Fiona. There were some sub-characters, Pinocchio, Cinderella, Snow White, The Wolf, and so on.

Next, I will talk about story of “Shrek”. Shrek was an ugly monster. People is afraid of him, so he lived alone. One day, Shrek met the Donkey. According to his story, fantasy characters had to leave their hometown because of prince Foakward’s order. When Shrek went back his swamp, there were many characters.

He hated them, so he went to adventure with the Donkey in order to get back his swamp. The prince said that if Shrek take Princess Fiona to the castle, he will return swamp to him.

And then, they went to the dragon’s castle and rescued Princess Fiona. However Fiona was shocked because Shrek was not a prince but a monster! She didn’t want to go with them, but Shrek took her compulsory. First they had not good relationship. However, the more they stayed together, the better relationship they had. Fiona realized Shrek was lonely, for Fiona was also lonely because of her spell. At night she turned monster, too. She realized that she loved Shrek, but she couldn’t accept it.

Eventually, they were quarrel each other, and Fiona decided to marry to Foarkward in order to break the spell. However both of them couldn’t forget each other. And then, the Donkey advised Shrek and he went to the castle in order to be stopped marriage.

Finally, Shrek and Fiona knew the feeling of each other. Fiona confessed her secret, and Shrek accepted it. They kissed, but Fiona wasn’t become beautiful! However, Shrek said to her, “ You are beautiful.” They lived happily ever after.

Next, I will talk about my feeling. At first, I think real friends are so important in my life. Donkey said, “Friends forgive each other!” It is exactly. Real friendship was to say what we want to say, quarrel sometimes, and then forgive each other. It is important process to understand each other deeper and deeper. Shrek and Donkey was always abandoned each other. This is the reason why they could be good friends. If we have friends who have relationship of Shrek and Donkey, we can call them “real friends”.

Second, I think real beauty was in the human’s heart. Shrek and Fiona were so similar. Both of them thought the person who has ugly looks wasn’t loved. However they loved each other because they learned about kindness to others during the adventure. The consideration for others makes people beautiful and happy. That means real beauty is not looks but heart. Please remember Prince Foarkward. He thought about only himself, so anybody loved him. On the other hand, Shrek and Fiona were blessed by all the people. This is evidence to prove my opinion is right!

Therefore I think this movie’s theme was “real friendship” and “real beauty”. I try to find real friend and real beauty in my mind. I realized it is important because human can’t live alone. We need some help in our life. When we have real friends and real beauty, we will be happy.

My New Hobby

Today, my younger sister had soft tennis game. She is member of soft tennis club and regular. This was first game since she was a regular, so I went to watching tennis game and cheer her.

I have played soft tennis, but it was difficult for me. When I played soft tennis, I need power more than tennis because the ball is soft and light. I couldn't control the direction of ball. However, my sister is good at play it. She started it since she was a junior high school student. She practice every day, so I was happy when I heard she could take part in the game. In this morning, she was so excited.

Today, her condition was so good. She got some survive aces, smash points, volley points. She could move a lot. I didn't know about soft tennis rules, but I could enjoy it. It was so exciting! Players hit balls so fast and accurately. I don't know how they do such a things. However, they were so cool. While I watched my sister's game, I liked soft tennis very much. What is better, my sister's team ranked in best four!! It is so nice, isn't it?

Therefore, I will try to play soft tennis with my sister when I have a time. I could know about my sister I didn't know, and I have new hobby now.

Golden week!!

Today, gorlden week started! However our school has only four days holiday in a ray. It is sad for me. I heard someone have eleven holidys this year!! It is so nice, isn't it?

Therefore, I started usual lessons. I didn't have Japanese teacher course today, I can go home early. I took classes until fourth period, and watched the movie that is my homework till on Wednesday. It was interesting. I left my school at five-fifty. I can catch the train that would leave the station at six, but I didn't want harry, I missed it.

Oh, and English launge started since today!! I could not go there today, but I will spend the time in the room in order to talk with my friends. I hope many people come and join us!!

Anne of Green Gables ( book review1-10 )

This time, I read "Anne of Green Gables". Have you ever read this book?? You know, this is a very famous book written by Lucy Maud Montgomery. She was Canadian writer and her stories about her home town, Prince Edward Island. She wrote many stories about Anne, but this book is the most famous.

Anne was an orphan. She was thin, talkative, with red hair. She had been alone till she met Matthew and Marilla. They had wanted a boy in order to let help their farm. When they saw Anne, they were shocked because they had stereotype that orphan girls are bad. However, they didn't back her to the orphanage. And then, they noticed Anne was a kind girl. Anne was sometime passionate at first, but the more she live with Matthew and Marilla, the more gently she grew up.

This story has a lot of happening, For example, Anne was teased about her hair, made a cake that taste was medicine, was often misunderstood by many people because she was orphan, and so on. In these happening, she could grew up her mental side. At first, she only talked, but at last she try to understand people, I think. Therefore she was loved many people at last. If I were Ann, I could not have been like her. Probably, I was disappointed when people judged me only that I was a orphan. Anne had courage to say her opinion and she thought about her opinion and other's. If she was wrong, she could apologized. It was also courage, isn't it? She has courageous and gently. This is a reason why she was loved by many people.


I could read this book so smoothly because I was so excited and wanted to know how the problem was solved. This is not difficult to read. You should read it!! When you read this story, you can be gently more than now, I guess.

Hard training !!

Since I became a university student, I have not often done sports. I can not run lang way now. However I know it is not good for my health, so I come to school on my foot from the station except when I have to harry. It takes fifteen minuites.

Today, I come to school on my foot because I have a time. Actually, I had a special class, that is to be Japanese teacher, so I would leave school at seven thirty. I thought if I leave school as soon as finishing class, I can catch my train that leave at 7:43. I had better to come to school by bicycle because ... class finished three minuites later I think!! That means I left my school at 7:33. I had to arrive the station for ten minuites!! I repeat but it usually takes for fifteen minuites. If I had walked to the station, I could not have caught the train.

Therefore, I run to the staion from school. I ran so hard. Ran and ran and ran...., I could reach at the station for 7 miniutes!!! As a result, I could catch the train. In the train, my breath was up and I was so tired because I had not run for the long time.

If I try this sometime, it is good training, I think. However I may not do it because it was really hard for me!!

TOEFL !!

Today, I had TOEFL class. I want to level up my TOEFL score because I want to go abroad. However I need more higher score, so I decided to take it.

I am not alone. I take it with my friends. If I were alone, I could not study hard. I can study hard because of them. I can discuss TOEFL question, why I choose A, or hoe they think about it, and so on. It is so difficult for me, but I want to improve my weakness, and grow up with them. They are not only good friends but also good rivals.

Actually, I don't have TOEFL skill so much. Sometimes, it makes so disappointed and sad. However, when I see that other people keep trying, I think I have to do it. I believe if I try hard, the result will appear.

Dogwood☆

Today, I will talk about "dogwood". Do you know what is dogwood? You may be surprised at it. Dogwood is ... "Hanamizuki", the tree that bloom white or light pink flowers!!! I can see it at my school, home and so on. I like dogwood very much, so I wanted to know how to say English, and looked up my dictionary. I was so surprised because I can't image dog with that flower. Therefore, I looked through about dogwood.

At first, dogwood isn't Japanese tree. In 1912, mayor of Tokyo prefecture, Yukio Ozaki, sent cherry blossom to America. And then, America gave us dogwood as a recompense. This is origin of dogwood in Japan. Dogwood is so popular in America, but why they call dogwood?

I found one famous theory. Dogwood's bark has effect to get rid of flea that dogs were infested with. However, this is unbelievable because dogwood seems not to be a medicine. And then, the most believable theory is that "dogwood" was called "dagger wood" at first. "Dagger" means general term of weapons. Dogwood is hard, so it was used as material of dagger. And then, people called it "dagwood". Finally it became "dogwood". That means dog and dogwood have no relationship. It is so interesting, isn't it??

Dogwood is birthday flower of April 23. It is today! I could find an interesting story about flower, so I will write reports like this since then.

Teaching Japanese

Today, I had a growing Japanese teacher course at my university. I have been interested in Japanese teacher for a long time, because I want to work in foreign country. Therefore, I decided to take this course with my friend.

Today, I introduced myself and listened to other's. There are fourteen people in the class. We talked about our home country and the reason why we took the class. I was surprise because everyone had clear opinions and their goals. I was given stimulus by them, so I thought I had to study hard.

What is more, I learned what is the role of Japaneses teacher. There are many role, for example, Japanese teacher have to make plans to teach, teach Japanese, listen to student's anxiety , and so on. We need patience to be a Japanese teacher. If students don't understand Japanese, we have to keep teaching till they can understand. It is difficult and hard work, I think. However, it is also have value. I can learn about Japan myself too, I may get a chance I work in other country. What is better, I can meet many countries people, and communicate with them.

I will learn how to teach Japanese so that my dream will come true. I know it is not easy, but I will do my best.

Monja-yaki!

Today, my mother went my sister's tennis game all day. I was at home alone, so I had to prepare tonight dinner. However, I was a bit busy, so I thought easy but delicious one. I decided to make Monja-yaki. Do you like it? When I ate it for the first time, I really liked it. So I often make it at home.

It is easy to make it, so everyone can cook it. You need only base of Monja-yaki. You can buy it any every shop. And you should only cut a cabbage, mix it with the base, and heat it. It is good to eat cheese on the Monja, noodles in the Monja, and so on. You can cook your ordinal Monja at your house.

Therefore, I like to cook Monja-yaki at my house. I can cook it own by own. Someday, I want to hold Monja-yaki party with my friends.

Cherry pie!

This week passed too fast. All class started and, I had a lot of things I had to do. It was so busy. I think I have to be accustomed to this life as so as possible.





However, I had a small happy event. Yesterday, I found my friend ate pie I have never seen. It was cherry pie! She told me that was new one in bakery. I love cherry since I was a child, so today, I went to bakery in my university. I had not been to bakery for a long time, so I was so surprised because there were many new bread. However, my purpose was cherry pie, so I bought as soon as I found it. After school, I ate the cherry pie. It was less sour but sweet than I thought, and so delicious! I could get small happiness today.

If you waver in your lunch or snack, you should eat cherry pie! I recommend you.

My favorite contry!

Yesterday, I went to lecture about Australia. I want to go Australia in order to learn English and Australian culture. Australian teacher came to my university, and he had a lecture. It was so exciting for me because I love Australia!!

At first I will explain about why I love Australia. When I was high school student, I went to Australia with home stay. I had never been to foreign countries, so I was so excited. There are many beautiful sky and sea, many animals that we can't see in Japan, many people who are kind and friendly, and so on. The most impressive things for me was Rottenest island. I was moved that every thing were beautiful. Sky, sea, plants... It was so amazing! I could see the animal that you can't see only in this island. It was so cute.(Picture is that!)I could relax there and I liked Australia more than before.

Therefore, I think I want to go to Australia as exchanged student. It was so difficult because I have to pass the exam. However I want to see many things that I never seen, and I don't notice, by own my own. It is boring hearing about it. Seeing is believing.

So, I went to listening ti explanation about going abroad to Australia, and asked some questions to Australian teacher. I could know about important things. More things I hear, more interested In I have. I have to study not only English but also culture in order to enjoy going abroad.

Confused!!

I had a writing class today. In writing class, I have to use computer. I was so confused it because I am not good at using computer. No, it was not only computer. I am not good at using electronic products. This time, I will explain about it.

I have broken a lot of electronic products. For example, Cleaner, TV, cell phone, rice cooker, and so on. People often say I made mistake how to use them. However I did not do anything wrong. I just used them! It is true. That mean I don't know the reasons why they were broken. Therefore, I don't like using computer because I can't understand it. It is too difficult for me.

However I know computer is necessary for my future. It is difficult to get a job without using computer. Computer is so convenience that we can work efficiency. I guess, I must not avoid it! If I can use it easily, I can like it. The writing class is important for me. My teacher teach me about it in writing class. He always help me. His advice is easy to understand, so I can keep trying.

I will write blog more often in order to increase opportunities that i touch the computer. I want to improve this blog more, and overcome my weakness. I will attend the class hard and keep trying since now!

My Fantastic Memory

I went to freshman camp on April 12 and 13. I didn't go it last year, so I didn't know what I should do or how to lead freshmem. However, it was good for me. I will talk about this experience.

The first day, I went to school at 8:40, and carried the baggage. And then I went to Nishigoshi, where we had stayed, because I had to clean the kichen and rooms, wash the dishes, and so on. I washed so many dishes. As soon as we ate lunch, I had to prepare dinner. We would make carry rice. I cutand heat so many vegitables for the first time. We made over 100 students's carry. I had never made so many carry, so I was so surprised how much carry were there. We made carry without problems.

After that we had a chance to talk with freshmen. My group had 8 members. At first, we could talk a lot smoothly, but after thirty minutes, we didn't know what we should talk about. I could talked with exchanged students because I know them and we are friends. On the other hands, freshmen was not used to speaking English and they didn't know exchanged students. I thought a lot about it and tried to keep conversation. My group leader help us, so we could overcome it barely.

However, another problem happend again. We failed to boil the rice. We needed more water. One part of rice was too hard to eat, so we couldn't surve enough dinner to freshmen. I was so sad because I didn't notice our failure. This is the lesson for the next year, I thought.

Last day, I woke up at six o'clock. I had to prepare for breakfast. We made ingredient for sandwich. We cut tometos, cucumber and lettuce, bake the sausage, boiled eggs. We could do it more smooth than last night. What was better, everyone could enjoy it. I was so happy. During recreatin, we had to clean the all of dishes, and cleaned the kitchen. After that, we took pictures with group member, and left the Nishigoshi.

Finally, we went to Aso in order to pick the strawberries. It was rain a little bit, but I didn't mind it because the strawberries was so sweet. Although I didn't eat lunch, I was full because of so many strawberries! I was so happy, so I forgot that I had been tired at that time. After a while we gave up eating strawberries, so we looed for strange strawberries. We found long strawberry, twins, and so on.

I was really tires to do it, but it was good training for me. I thought what I can do for other people, talked with many friends, OG, exchanged students, and so on. I couldn't have such oppotunity in the daily life. I was interested in other contries more than before, and I think I try to cook more. This is one of my special memory in university life. Finally I want to say thank you to all of teachers, freshmen, and staff who attended this camp. I had great time because of you.

My favorite movie ( book review1-09 )

Do you know E.T.? Maybe everyone know the movie because it is so famous. I watched it when I was a child the first time, and I watch it sometimes even now. Therefore, I read E.T. this time. It was written in easy English, so I could read it at once.

E.T. was a short form of "extra-terrestrial". One day, one of them was separated his friend to the earth. He was alone, so he asked plants what he should do. Then he met one boy, named Elliott. Elliott was afraid of E.T. at first, but he was interested in E.T. gradually. He wanted to stay with E.T. However E.T. had to go his star. E.T. tried to contact with his friend, but he couldn't. He became sick and what is worse, scientists found E.T. and took him laboratory. E.T. got sick worse, and his heart stopped moving. Everyone, even Elliott, thought E.T. was dead, but he just contacted with his friends. Elliott noticed it and he took E.T. his spaceship.

It was story of friendship. I think friends is so important to our life. Elliott and E.T. were different, but they were good friends. They had to separate and it was so sad, but their heart were so close. I think people can be happy if they have many friends. However, even if I have only one friend, I am happy when our heart is connected. I have friends who I can't meet easily, but I understand them and they also understand me. I can talk everything to them and they talk many things to me. I feel our heart were connected, so I am so happy. I want to help each other and be friend forever. I can know how wonderful friendship is after reading this book.

This book was not difficult, so I recommend you this book.

Dear my family,

Hi, how are you? I am Mio. I am from Kumamoto which is the south of japan. I am studying English at KGU because I want to speak English well and travel around the world in order to see many cultures history and so on. This summer's home stay program will be a big step, so I am looking forward to going to New Zealand.

How many people are there in your family? There are four people in my family, a father, a mother , a sister who is younger than me, and me. My sister is good at playing tennis. She runs faster than me and hits the ball stronger than me.My family always supports me, so I want to write about them now, but I will talk about them to you when I meet you.

I like reading books, swimming, and Japanese paper craft. Japanese paper craft is called "origami". I can make cranes, wreaths, and so on with paper. Do you have interested in origami? If you say "Yes", I will bring them for you. Let's make it together!

I am interested in your culture. Would you tell me about it when I visit you? I'd like to learn not only English but also New Zealand's culture and habit. I think Maori people have a great culture. I heard they have a rugby team which is consisted of only Maori people. They dance traditional dance with opening their eyes wide and stamping their foot before the game, don't they? I learned about it from one movie, whose name is "White Rider". When I had watched the movie, I was so excited. I noticed there are many cultures which I don't know or have never seen. Maori's culture is one of them, so I want to see it with my own two eyes.

I have never been to New Zealand. I can know about New Zealand only from pictures or books, but the more pictures I see and books I read, the more I like. If I go New Zealand, I can like your country more than now. I'm not good at speaking English, so I will bother you. However I will do my best. I want to meet you as soon as possible. I'm looking forward to meeting you.

Ring of Bright Water ( book review1-08 )

I read the book again. This time, I read "Ring of Bright Water". This book was written by Gavin Maxwell.This story was his own story. He lived with the animals. Especially, he told about his otters in this story.

He was born in Scotland. However, he lived in Camusfearna in this book. He moved there because he has interested in nothing when he worked in London. There were nothing in Camusfearna. The nearest village was about eight kilometers away, there were few people and mountains, islands, and sea. He had a dog at that time, but he was so old, so he was dead soon since he moved there. He thought he didn't want any animals any more. However he felt lonely. Then he met an otter because of his friends. He bought the otter and named Chahala. She was so friendly, but he was dead because of poison of food. He was sad but he could find another otter, named Mijbil. He lived with the otter for a year and five days. He could enjoy life with Mij. Mij was not interested in him, but more times he lived with his owner, more friendly he became. They could even travel by plane and train until Mij was dead. Last otter was Edal. At that time, he had a lot of animal friends.

I felt the otters were so cute. This story was almost talked about otters and pictures were also otters. I could read how otters were cute! They are unusual animals, so I can't have them. However I really want to have them after reading this book. Then I respected the author. He lived in Camustearna where were no furniture, electronic products and so on. He lived with nature. That the reason why he could live with the otters, I think. They could live free and comfortable. It is slow life that I dreamed. It is difficult to come true, Bbut I hope I can spend the time relax like them.

My Family and Other Animals ( book review1-07 )

I will write book review. This time, I read "My Family and Other Animals". This book was written by Gerald Durrel and this story was true. I was surprised because his life was so interesting.

He lived in England, but his family had usual illness. His mother and author had bad colds, his brother had a problem with his ears, and so on. One day, his oldest brother suggested to move to the countryside, and they did it. The author met a lot of good people and animals. Some people gave him animals or taught him about them. He sometimes brought dangerous animals to his house, like scorpion, snake and so on, so his family thought it was bad idea. However he liked animals, he brought animals again and again. New house was too small to live with many animals, so they moved many times. Finally, he established zoo.

I think this story was talked calmly. Sometimes, happening was occurred but I was tired to read. I want to live with many animals, but I don't want snakes and scorpions. It was really unconfortabe for me.
