About Halifax

I will go to Halifax in Canada Do you know Halifax？ What do you know about Canada? Yes, you may know the name, but you don’t know detail. I didn’t know, either but this time I researched about them and I really want to go there early. I will share my information with you.

At first, I have to explain Canada because Halifax is in Canada, you know. The capital in Canada is Ottawa. Canada has many big cities. The biggest city is Toronto. The area is more than 9 million square km It is thirty times larger than Japan’s area. However, population is not so much. I is about 32 million because it is too cold to live northern place. In Toronto, there are one-sixth people live. The geology of Canada is interesting. Canada occupies the half of north in the New Continent. There are United States in South and West side of Canada. In the east side, there is Atlantic Ocean. Besides, there is Arctic Ocean in the north.

Canada has constitutional monarchy and federation is held under the parliamentary. The national chief of state is Queen Elizabeth II, but substantial prime minister is chosen as election. Actually, he does Canadian politics. I already said, Canada is so large country, so each states are given autonomy　We can say Canadian government is municipality vs federation.

Canadian people speak English and French as official languages. It is set in 1982.
In Quebec, Ontario, New Brunswick states, they speak French. . Many races people live in Canada. English is 28%, French is 23%, the other Europeans 15%. Besides, there are many Asians, Arabs, Africans, and so on.And what important is Canada has chosen as the country which give good effect to all over the world. I mean Canada is friendly country and many people love Canada.

Next, I will talk about Canadian Culture. Canada don’t have their own culture, but the culture is interesting. It was made by mixing many cultures. I said many races people live in Canada. That’s why Canadian culture is fusion of various cultures. I have to introduce important literature. It is Anne of Green GablesJapanese title is 赤毛のアン.
Do you know it? It is so famous all over the world. Canada is stage of it.

Well, Canada has many heritage there are five cultural heritages and six natural heritages. Besides, two heritages are shared with the United States. I list the heritages, so please check them on your print.

Then, I want to talk about Halifax. Halifax is state capital in Novascoacia State.　It was set on April 1st 1996 as Halifax Regional Municipality. Halifax’s Motto is Wealth from the sea. Yes, Halifax is port city. It is not big, but there are many nature and beautiful sea. However, there is so cold place. The temperature has amount to

Halifax is famous for Victim of Titanic, .Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, and Saint Mary’s University. I want to introduce a few things.

First Saint Mary’s university is so great university. There are many students from all over the world. 14.4% students are exchange students. The area is not so large compare with other university in Canada, but there are many useful systems in the university. For example, we can go to the gym through the tonal without going gout side from dormitory. Even if it is winter, we don’t need pass outside. Modern equipments are used in this university.

And then, I want to introduce Halifax Citadel National Historic Site. Halifax is one of the first city that English people arrived in 1749. After that, England and French fought to get the religion. This place was important place for the English-French war.
I mean this is so important structure in these days. It is one of traditional things in Halifax. People can’t build the building that is higher than Citadel. That show many people save the structure.

Most of people don't know about Halifax. I want to interested in there because Halifax is so good city. There are many historical things and mordan structure stay there together. I am glad to be able to study there. It is not easy, I know, but I want to enjoy there!!

Significance of increase education spot ~News review~

Asian countries and the Persian Gulf should increase reception of foreign students and curry out preference measure. It is important for exchange students. It will relieve many students and give many benefits to them.

The number of students who want to study in Asia or the Persian Gulf increase more and more. If the destination improves their language skill, we can say the countries will have the best conditions. In fact, to go to countries where people speak English as their mother tongue, like England, America, and so on, can make our skill improve more.

However, these countries are negatively meeting the demands. You can acquire English skills not only in countries where people speak English, but also others where you can take high quality education. Besides, you have to speak the country’s language when you go abroad in Asia or the Persian Gulf. It means you will get a third language skill. It becomes an advantage to obtain three languages skills.

And then, the Persian Gulf is so wealthy that they spend money for education. It will improve environment of education more than now. Therefore, we can predict that more exchange students will study in these countries.

Staaaaaaaaaart

Today, school started finally. I had a six classes today. It was so hard because I have not studied such a long time during summer vacation. Besides, I have studied only English during vacation. I am afraid of forgetting about the other classes.

The first period was psychology. I like the class. To know about human's heart is difficult, but we need to know in order to look at myself. We can know about own thinking. At first, I went to same classroom as spring semester. However, the teacher didn't come. I was wondered. And then, my friend told to me that the classroom was changed. I harried to go the right classroom. After that, I took the class in no problem.

However, the same things was happened in second period. It was American literature The class room was changed again. We had to go the right room. I thought I have to check the wall again and again.


The third period was cross cultural communication. It is so good for me. I can learn about the sense of value, differences from thinking, and so on. We learn how to communicate well with the foreign people. It is so useful, and good study for me.

The forth period was the Linguistic of English. It is difficult. All of linguistic is interesting, but difficult. I have to listen to my teacher, or I can't understand. However, the teacher always help me. Therefore I can keep trying.

The fifth period was career desing class. I heard about what I should do during university life in order to get a job. It is good for me.

The last class was Seminar of Japanese teacher. I was tired at that time, but I could say many opinions during the class. Japanese is difficult. But to teach Japanese is more difficult than it, I thought.

The first day was so busy. But I have to do it. I will go to Canada, so I want to get many knowledge as possible I can. I want to talk many things with many people, so I require to know many things. i will keep trying.

Yesterday event

On September 3rd, I stayed my friends house. We went to same high school and we are good friends. I went her house at three o'clock. We talked for a while. After that, we watched the movie whose title was " Picnic at the night". It was interesting. It was a story of high school life.
After that, we went to eat dinner. We ate Yakitori. It was delicious and the shopper was kind. He gave us good service. I want to go there again some day. At midnight, drinking, we talked again. And we played video game, read comic books, and so on. We had a good time. We slept at six o'clock in the morning!!

Next day, we went to school because I have to see the fesult of the test for going abroad. We took the test in June, and waited foe three month. I was nervous, because I really wanted to pass it. I was really happy when I saw the wall. My number was written!! I can go abroad next year!!

I will go to Halifax in Canada next year. I have time. I have to study English harder, prepare for it, and so on. Maybe I will be so busy for a year. I'll try it!!

My goal

August was finished!! And September started. Summer vacation leave only three week... This August, I had many events. I traveled Tokyo, met many friends, hung out with them, and so on. However, most of my friends went back their home now. Maybe I can't meet them easily. It is too sad for me. But I know everyone has their own goal. They have to keep trying in order to success their dreams. Of course, me too. I want to improve my English skill, and learned about intercultural understanding. Therefore I really want to go abroad because I can see many things on my own eyes. It is unusual expereience, isn't it?? I don't want to give up it. So, I also have to effort.
In September, I will study more. I want to encourage with my friends each other. If I can do it, I can keep trying more and more.

TOEFL !! part 2

Yesterday, I took the TOEFL. I was nervous. I could not study enough. I should have worked more effectively. That is the reason why I was nervous now. I need higher score in order to enter the university in Canada and pass the going abroad test. However, I could not do well. It is not enough my skill.

However, I must not be negative for a long time. Tomorrow, I will do the pre-class in growing up Japanese teacher seminar. I have to teach Japanese. I prepare for the class for a long time. I really want to succeed the class. I will be nervous again, but this time, I will not lose!!

All of tests has gone!!

Today, all of the tests for going abroad has gone!! I really tired in June. I studied so hard, but I can't show my trying till now. However, I could do my best in the interview tests and writing essay, I didn't regard it. And then, I have to keep trying. I want to get higher score in TOEFL. I need five handred fifty points. When I get this score, I can attend the univercity class in Canada. I really hope that.

Interview Test

Today, I had an interview test for going abroad. It started about at four-thirty. I was nervous and my voice was shaking. I wanted to tell about how much I want to go to Canada. I told teacher what my purpose and my future dream are. I explain it but I thought my story was too long. There are three people in the room, including me. I'm really sorry about it. However I think my telling was not enough. I practiced it so hard, so I wanted to be asked my thinking more.
I will take short-essay test tomorrow. I will be nervous. However, I hope I can go abroad, so I will do my best.
