Today, I went to see the speech contest. Exchanged students talked about their topics in Gakusei-kaikan. Every one did so wonderful speech. I was impressed it because they talked about many things I am interested in. For example, good point of dialect, what is the life, experience of diet, and so on. It express their characteristic, I thought. All of them had good idea, and they could speak about it by their expression.
I know, it is not easy. I attended English speech contest last year, and I could learn how difficult to explain what I want to talk in the other language. I was really confused. However, exchanged student could talk clearly what they want to say. I was so surprised, and it made me enthusiastic. I want to talk what I want to say in English like them. Thereof, I will practice speaking harder in English lounge! Besides, I want to enjoy talking with them a lot!!

Writing Essay 1-05 ~In Order To be a Global Person~
Hi! I will talk about my learning languages history. We have ever learned many languages. Of course, we have learned our mother tongue, Japanese, and many other languages. Learning languages is difficult because they have each words, grammer, and so on. Besides, languages always change. Why do you study languages, and how do you study them? Today, I will talk about my case.
I am learning Japanese, English, and French now. First of all, I will talk about Japanese. I have learned it since of course when I was born. However, I didn't think I studied Japanese. I learned it naturaly. My mother tought me how to write and read letters, but I could speak and listen it by myself graduatly in the daily life. Since I had entered elementary school, I had to take the Japanese class. I read many stories, and learned how to write Kanji. Oh, I study it at Kumon! I read more stories than other children at that time. And then, in the junior high school, I study Japanese for entrance examinaton to high school. At that time, I started to learn old Japanese. It was more difficult than modan Japanese. In the high school, I contunued to study both of old Japanese and modan Japanese, and I learned how to write essay. It is also study for entrance examination. And then, now I syudy Japanese in order to teach to other contries people.
Next, I will talk about English. I have learned English for fourteen years. When I was in the pre-school, I went to English conversation school. I sung songs and played games. It just enjoyment. When I was an elementary school student, I studied also English at Kumon. I read and listened to English, and I learned grammar. I took third grade English skill examination till I graduated elementary school. When I was a junior high school student, I took English in the class. I took pre-second grade English skill examination. However, I had never been to the other countries. I have been to Australia for the first time in high school home stay program. I had not trained speaking, I couldn't speak English well, but I enjoyed the home stay. And then, I decided to study English more. I hoped I could talk with my host family more smoothly. Then, I entered this university, and I study English every day. Now, I often go to English lounge, and talk with exchanged students. I often learn about cultures from them. Besides, I study for TOEFL. It is difficult, but good training. I will take iBT test someday.
Next, I will talk about learning French. I started to study it last year. French is the most difficult language in my learning language history. It has man noun, woman noun, and neuter noun. It makes me confused. When I was a freshman, I studied French really hard in the class. I had two French classes. One was conversation, and the other was grammar class. French letter is alphabet, but how to read is different. I practiced to read again and again. I solved the assignments for many times. Now, I study French at Kumon. You know, I learn at languages at Kumon even now!! I couldn't take French class at school. However, I didn't forget French because I had studied really hard for a year. Therefore, I continue to study it.
Besides, I had studied Chinese for a year. It was so interesting because how to read was quite different from Japanese, but I could understand the meaning. And then, Chinese pronunciation sounds nice! I like to practice it. In the conversation class, I listened to Chinese and read the sentences . I often watched TV program for studying Chinese. It was so interesting. However, I stop studying Chinese now, because I couldn't learn it in my school, and I don't know where I should study it. However, I will study again by myself.
This is all of my learning languages history. I have studied four languages. However, It is not hardship for me. I am happy to learn languages because I can study not only languages but also cultures. All of my languages have different letters, pronunciations, structure, and so on. It is so interesting, isn't it? I will keep trying to study languages. I want to be a global person!!

English Lounge
Today, there are many people in the English lounge. There are a few people are there on Wednesday, so I was happy.
Today, we played a game. We separated five groups. At first, we had two blue coins and five red coins each groups. And then, there are many question cards, so one person read one of the question. We had to answered it by number. For example, when did "Thanks giving day" start? ( Answer is 1620) We had to guess it, and wrote it down. All group show the answer each other, and lined up. Next, we discussed which answer is nearest with partner, and bet the coins. When we were correct, we could get more coins. It was easy game, but we could enjoy it!
However, in fifth period, there were only two guests there. We just talked together about going abroad. It is my dream, so I heard about it from the person who will go abroad from this summer. I want to be like her. I will do my best.

English Lo unge
I went to English lounge, today. I go there every Wednesday. Last week there were a few people, so we didn't know what I should do. However there many people in the room today, we had a good time. I will talk about it.
English lounge is the room for people who want to speak English more. I often go there and I practice speaking English. We talk about our life, going abroad, studying English and so on. There are a few exchanged student there, so we can talk with them. Sometime, we talk about other languages. It is so fun!!
Today, I talked about Korean, part-time job, and so on. The most interesting one was hometown's food. There are many interesting the way to eat. For example, we eat "Hiyashicyuuka" with mayonnaise in my hometown. I thought it was naturally until coming Kumamoto. This story surprised the people in English lounge. All of them said they couldn't believe it. However, it is true!!
Actually, we can hear many interesting story there. What is better, I can have a chance speaking English. There are little time that we can speak English in the daily life. It is good chance!! Therefore I want more people to come English lounge.

My Fantastic Memory
I went to freshman camp on April 12 and 13. I didn't go it last year, so I didn't know what I should do or how to lead freshmem. However, it was good for me. I will talk about this experience.
The first day, I went to school at 8:40, and carried the baggage. And then I went to Nishigoshi, where we had stayed, because I had to clean the kichen and rooms, wash the dishes, and so on. I washed so many dishes. As soon as we ate lunch, I had to prepare dinner. We would make carry rice. I cutand heat so many vegitables for the first time. We made over 100 students's carry. I had never made so many carry, so I was so surprised how much carry were there. We made carry without problems.
After that we had a chance to talk with freshmen. My group had 8 members. At first, we could talk a lot smoothly, but after thirty minutes, we didn't know what we should talk about. I could talked with exchanged students because I know them and we are friends. On the other hands, freshmen was not used to speaking English and they didn't know exchanged students. I thought a lot about it and tried to keep conversation. My group leader help us, so we could overcome it barely.
However, another problem happend again. We failed to boil the rice. We needed more water. One part of rice was too hard to eat, so we couldn't surve enough dinner to freshmen. I was so sad because I didn't notice our failure. This is the lesson for the next year, I thought.
Last day, I woke up at six o'clock. I had to prepare for breakfast. We made ingredient for sandwich. We cut tometos, cucumber and lettuce, bake the sausage, boiled eggs. We could do it more smooth than last night. What was better, everyone could enjoy it. I was so happy. During recreatin, we had to clean the all of dishes, and cleaned the kitchen. After that, we took pictures with group member, and left the Nishigoshi.
Finally, we went to Aso in order to pick the strawberries. It was rain a little bit, but I didn't mind it because the strawberries was so sweet. Although I didn't eat lunch, I was full because of so many strawberries! I was so happy, so I forgot that I had been tired at that time. After a while we gave up eating strawberries, so we looed for strange strawberries. We found long strawberry, twins, and so on.
I was really tires to do it, but it was good training for me. I thought what I can do for other people, talked with many friends, OG, exchanged students, and so on. I couldn't have such oppotunity in the daily life. I was interested in other contries more than before, and I think I try to cook more. This is one of my special memory in university life. Finally I want to say thank you to all of teachers, freshmen, and staff who attended this camp. I had great time because of you.
