Impression of "Babe" ( Book review 1-01)

I read a book which was written in English. I will write impression of it in this blog. I read "Babe ~the sheep pig~ which is very famous story. I have seen the movie before, so I want to try to read this book in English. This is a reason why I read "Babe".

At first, I will explain this story. Babe was a pig which Mr. Hoggot was given from a man. Mr. Hoggot was confused because he was sheep farmer, so he didn't want the pig. Her wife try to eat for Christmas dinner. One day, Babe defended the Mr. Hoggot's farm from thief. Mr. Hoggot and his wife notice that the pig was so clever. His sheepdog, whose name is Fly, was so old, so he thought he tried to bring up Babe as sheep-pig! Babe was so happy because he had wanted to be sheep-pig for a long time. He train so hard. Finally he could win the sheep-dog trial, and he became the best in the world. This is the story of "Babe".

I felt that I mustn't decide something only by the people's looks. In this story, many sheep-dogs think the sheep is stupid animal without knowing how sheep is, and they treat sheep so violent. On the other hand, Babe was so polite to sheep, so he was liked everyone. He never had been arrogant. He was so king pig and try to know the others feeling. It is important for people isn't it? We have a lot of stereotype, and decided something without knowing. That is one of reasons we have many problem, for instance, discrimination. We should have consideration to the others like Babe.

This is my report in reading "Babe". I like this story very much.

Next speaking class!

Tommorow, I will have speaking class. It will be last class in this semester. I have to bring a memorial thing for the class. Maybe we will practice for interview test. I will bring paper crane that my swimming member gave me. It is the most important thing, so I think I can talk a lot about it. I need much practice in order to talk well. I will keep my effort since now.

Speaking class

On Monday, I had a first speaking class in this year. I listened to other class' s presentations. There were seven group, and their theme was "barrier free".

I listened their presentations and knew that there are many barrier free system in my university. At the same time, there are many bad point, I noticed. Their contents were great because I learned importance of barrier free, and I think many things about it. Most of group had some pictures, so I could image good point or bad point of our university easily. They interviewed to "Shafuku" students, so they could get enough informations.

Although their contents, posters, informations were so good, some people read their manuscript. I know it is difficult to speak without paper, but speaking is important in order to communicate with people. We have to talk to others during presentations, we should practice speaking.

These are my impressions in last class. I thought their presentations were interesting. I noticed that I also have to try harder to improve my English skill.

A Happy New Year!

This brog is first one in this year. Last year, I could challenge many things. It was so fan and exciting. In this year, I will study harder and I want to level up my English ability, especially speaking. What's more, I will get high score with TOEIC and TOFLE. These are my this year's aim. I will do my best.

Presentation!

On Thursday and Friday, I had meeting. On Thursday, we made power point in order to use presentation. We collected some pictures and we could make an interesting power point. I would talked about wether forecast, so I made graph of wether and looked for meteorological satellites. It was a toil, but I think it became great one because of my effort. And then we practiced our own speaking. My manuscript had a lot of difficult words, I changed the words to easy one.
On Friday, we took the video in the library. At first, we had a rehearsal, and improved our bad points. And then we took a presentation. We were so nervous, we spoke fast a little. We took only 8 minuites! What's worse I made a many mistakes in the presentation. We will have one more meeting and take presentation on Monday lunch time.

Prepare of Presentation

On Monday and on Thursday, I had a meeting. Next presentation's theme is "making news". There are four people in my group, so we desided to make four kinds of news about technology, fashion, health and weather. At first, we planed about technology. We thought many robots and machines will appear in the future, so we will talk about it and so on. Second, we will talk about fashions. We thought some Christmas fashions which will be popular after ten years.
And then we made the weather ten years later. It will be warmer, we thought. I will talk about this in the presentation.
This is contents of our meeting. I prepared some drawing papers but we couldn't any works with these. We have many things to do, but I want to make interesting news with my groupmates.

Last lesson presentation

Last week, I did the presentation about future. At first, we work with group members. We said our opinions each other, and we desided what we say. And then, we draw the picture.
In the presentation, I listened to interesting story. For example, there will be great machine in the future, it will happen the war in the world and so on. Everyone thought many things and did great presentations.
I think my presentation was not so long, but I couldn't finish the presentation. I should speak more smoothly. What's the worse, my speaking was so bad because I don't have vocaburary. I couldn't explain well. Maybe my presentation was so difficult. I'm sorry about that.
I feel I must practice speaking more and more. I want to speak English better than I.
